John ParadiseDates: 1743-00-00 - 1795-00-00 (O.S. Birth: 0000-00-00) Short Description: John Paradise was a British subject of Greek decent who moved to London and in 1760. In 1769, he married Lucy Ludwell of Williamsburg, Virginia. By training a scholar and a linguist, he was a Fellow of the Royal Society and claimed among his close acquaintances individuals as diverse as John Adams and Dr. Samuel Johnson. During his stay in London, Jefferson was introduced to the Paradises by the Adamses and struck an immediate and lasting friendship.
