Short Description:

Estate created by Philip Southcote and considered one of the earliest English examples of a ferme ornée (not to be confused with Woburn Abbey). Some aspects of the landscape are associated with William Kent.

During Jefferson's visit, the estate was occupied by Lord Loughborough (later 1st Earl of Rosslyn) and owned by "Ld. Peters," according to Jefferson.

Now the site of St. George's College, Addlestone, Surrey, UK.
