Short Description:
Caversham was the ancestral home of the Earls of Pembroke. In the early Eightteenth Century, William Cadogan, 1st Early of Cadogan, rebuilt the house. The gardens were refashioned by Capability Brown. In the 1780s, Major Charles Marsack, then owner, enlarged the house in the Greek temple style. The house was later destroyed by fire.
